Eugene, or as he's more commonly called by his friends, Boere, works on the oil rigs and wanted to have a family shoot done with his children because he's away so often. As he's only home every 28 days, I had to squeeze him and his family into a shoot during the week after work as opposed to my general weekend shoots.
We headed to the almost southern most tip of Cape Town and had our shoot on Boulders Beach in Simonstown amongst the many penguins - really a beautiful gem of a beach, where the water is tranquil but somewhat bold and maybe even a bit scary looking with the "boulders" surrounding it.
Boere's kids are so gorgeous all carrying his very distinct genes - I tried to capture less posed and more natural, but evidently it turns out they are all camera ready :) We planning an update shoot in March/April, so stay tuned :)
