OKAY! So I've had this blog since 2007... a whopping 5 years and this is my very first post.
I must admit - it is definitely progress considering that I've noticed that I'm a procrastinator of absolute note, 2012 I've decided is the year that I approach new things and complete things that I started even if it was some time back.
So who is Kim Chetty... I'm an ordinary girl from the beautiful Cape Town, I'm a wife, a mother, worker, student, photographer, chocolate lover, salsa dancer avid baker and new to my hit list is runner.
I see PHOTOGRAPHY as a beautiful art where I can express my love for photos, people and their surroundings with as much creativity as I can muster - I plan to use this blog to showcase as much of my work as possible.
I've been growing this passion for 7 years now and you'd think that I would have had my website up and running by now, but the truth is I wrap my life up in busy-ness so that I don't have to deal with criticism of my work, but I'm human and the only way to grow is to learn - so with that said I'll be uploading a few images from the past years and will be making a dedicated effort to keeping this blog updated as much as possible.

So... this was my first wedding...SHOT IN FILM, I was totally nervous but once I got into it, it was as natural as breathing... firstly its such a long time ago, but the friendship formed after this wedding was lasting! A beautiful, fun loving couple. I run into them at least once a year while photographing their friends' wedding.
